Respite Care

Respite Care is often referred to as ‘short term care’. Essentially, respite care is designed to give carers a break from their usual full-time caring role.
Both Country Club Lodge and Shoreham House offer respite care for varying periods of time.
This type of care is offered at an affordable basic daily fee, which is currently $51.21 per day.
For further assistance to understand the costs and eligibility to access respite care, please contact our admissions team to guide you through the process.

*This daily fee is to cover the day-to-day living costs such as meals, cleaning, laundry and utility costs.
The accommodation fee:

Accommodation fees are paid directly to Buhler Aged Care and in accordance with standard practice, are usually used to pay for the maintenance of each resident, upgrading and improving the quality of the facilities and services. Buhler Aged Care offers the following payment options:

  • A) Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD)The RAD is paid up-front, guaranteed by the Government and refunded when you leave the aged care facility (less applicable fees and deductions), which will be refunded to the individual or paid to the estate.
  • B) Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) You may choose to pay by DAP, a monthly amount calculated using the Government’s maximum permissible interest rate (MPIR). For example, RAD x MPIR /365 = DAP.
  • C) Combination of both RAD and DAP You may combine payments to fit your budget. Your DAP is based on the proportion of the RAD that remains unpaid.
Payment Options

Buehler Aged Care offers various payment methods including; direct debit, electronic fund transfer (EFT) and bank transfer. These options can be discussed with our admissions team.
